Georgia Development Partners, jointly with Batson-Cook Company, was selected in February of 2007 by Newnan City Council to construct the Greenville Street Park on behalf of the City. The park design intent is to be urban and formal with substantial hardscape elements to include 300' stone colonnade, amphitheatre, fountain, seating plaza, exhibition stage, trellised open air pavilion, monuments, and memorial statues. GDP has continued to work collaboratively with the Newnan Parks Commission, City Staff, and planning consultants to achieve budget and scheduling goals while creating a community icon to last generations.
